Can we talk for a sec about body shaming?
I am attending a ren faire on sunday. My first one ever. Yay me! And so I ordered a shirt and vest for the Guild that I will be apart of. I took a photo to show the guild and decided to post it on Facebook. I was feeling awesome in my top and thought I looked amazing.
Then the comments poured in. My favorite is “I hope you wear a coat.”
Fuck you. This is my body. If I feel like putting on something that shows off im well endowed then good on me. Telling me that my body is to be hidden away does nothing but make me self conscious.
This is how you get little girls to hate themselves for simply growing. I got hips and boobs when I was 11 and dealt with teasing and taunting. Telling me that I must have gotten touched for my boobs to be so big. I had boys who grabbed my boobs in class and all i got from the adults around me was “well boys will be boys”
No. Fuck you . I should not be forced into sistuations where people touch me without consent and if you do there should be MASSIVE repercussions.
So fuck you and your inability to not function without specializing women. It is not my fault that I was blessed with big tits and it is my choice to love them to my fullest.
